SHEET MOLDED COMPOUND Compounding Manager

Duties and
Responsibilities:

- Lead the SMC Compounding Department, which will include two shifts with subordinate leaders, operators, and technical support.

- Schedule compound production to support the Molding schedule.

- Manage raw material inventory to support the Compounding schedule.

- Work with the Molded Products R&D team to develop new compounds that will improve quality or reduce cost.

- Serve as a senior leader in the business, driving the core values of Safety, Integrity, Customer Centricity, Performance Culture, Teamwork & Agility.

- Participate with Purchasing in prospective new vendor evaluations, as well as work directly with vendors when issues occur. Develop and implement quality requirements for vendors; monitor and negotiate pricing with said vendors.

- Direct programs to develop new materials, manufacturing techniques, or products. Keep informed of industry developments, especially in the areas of composite materials and manufacturing processes.

- Active involvement in environmental, health, and safety throughout the company, setting examples for others.

- Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various sales and marketing managers and other personnel concerning technical specifications on products or programs.

Essential Skills &
Qualifications:

- Five years or greater of progressive management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Excel

- Compression Molding Experience

- Compounding Experience

Organizational:

The SMC Compounding Manager will report to the Plant Manager for this location. The SMC Compounding Manager will oversee the entire compounding operation, comprising of two shifts and fourteen personnel, and is responsible for the on-time and quality compounding of our Sheet Molded Compound.

Location / Travel

Initially, this position will require travel to a compounding facility based in Indiana during the initial onboarding.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
